This is an entry-level opportunity for someone who wants to learn the garage door trade directly from an experienced installer.You do not need garage door experience. You do need to be dependable, physically capable, comfortable using tools, and able to learn quickly.
You may help with:
Loading and unloading doors, tools, and equipment
Preparing materials for each job
Assisting with installations, repairs, and maintenance
Keeping trucks, tools, and jobsites organized
Safely handling ladders and heavy door components
Learning how garage doors, springs, tracks, hardware, and openers work
Cleaning up and checking the completed job
Starting at $20 per hour.
We increase pay as your skills, independence, and ability to perform the work grow. Strong performance will be rewarded with salary increases.

We would consider hiring an experienced installer who can quickly begin completing installations and service work with limited supervision.
The right candidate may be able to:
Install residential and commercial garage doors
Diagnose and repair door-system problems
Work safely with springs, cables, rollers, tracks, and hardware
Install and troubleshoot garage door openers
Measure openings and identify installation requirements
Prepare materials and equipment for each job
Communicate clearly with customers and coworkers
Complete work carefully, efficiently, and independently
Compensation will reflect your experience and how independently and effectively you can perform the work.

Compensation based on leadership, experience, and performance
As North Woods grows, we will need a crew lead who can take responsibility for jobs from preparation through completion.
This may be someone who already has leadership experience or an installer who wants to grow into the position.
A crew lead will eventually be expected to:
Review upcoming work and prepare the required materials
Organize the truck, tools, and jobsite
Direct and train helpers and newer installers
Keep installations moving safely and efficiently
Maintain North Woodsโ workmanship standards
Communicate with customers, builders, and the office
Identify problems before they become expensive mistakes
Take responsibility for the finished job
